Dinosaur World, Prehistoric amusement park in Creswick, Victoria, Australia.
Dinosaur World is an outdoor park featuring life-sized dinosaur models positioned along walking trails that wind through garden spaces. Visitors walk past numerous models representing different prehistoric species as they explore the grounds.
The park was founded in 1982 when Bill and Stephanie Myers hand-crafted the first fiberglass dinosaur models in their workshop. The attraction grew over time as new models were added and the site developed into a family destination.
The release of Jurassic Park films in the 1990s prompted updates to the park's Tyrannosaurus model and increased public interest in dinosaur attractions.
The park includes a museum, playground facilities, and picnic areas where families can spend several hours exploring at a relaxed pace. Most paths are easy to walk and the grounds are suitable for visitors of all ages and mobility levels.
The largest model on the grounds is a Brontosaurus measuring approximately 21 meters in length, constructed by the Plunkett family during their time operating the park. This model stands as a testament to the hands-on craftsmanship that has defined the park since its creation.
