Euroa, Agricultural town in Victoria, Australia
Euroa is an agricultural town in Victoria that stretches along Binney Street and Railway Street with numerous Victorian-era buildings lining the main routes. The town sits beside Seven Creeks and is surrounded by native trees that shape its character.
The town developed as the central hub for the Strathbogie agricultural region and became an important trading point for the shire. A notable event occurred in 1878 when the National Bank was robbed by Ned Kelly and his gang.
The Farmers Arms Museum occupies a former hotel building and displays farm equipment, traditional transport vehicles, and everyday objects from the region's past. Inside, you can see how people once worked the land and got around in their daily lives.
The town serves as the administrative center for Strathbogie Shire and is well connected by V/Line railway services to other major cities. You can walk easily through the main streets and find well-kept public spaces throughout the town.
The VC Memorial Park honors three Victoria Cross recipients from this small town with bronze statues. This is a surprisingly high number of holders of Britain's highest military award to come from such a small place.
