Museum of Natural Mystery, Private art museum in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Located at 61 Royal Terrace, this museum displays over 200 skulls, bone sculptures, ethnographic artifacts, and biological specimens in three rooms of a central villa.
Bruce Mahalski, a mural artist and sculptor who worked as an unofficial intern at Otago Museum during his teenage years, opened this museum in March 2018.
The museum incorporates nkisi sculptures from Congo, decorated cards from the Iraq War, and local artifacts that reflect various international cultural perspectives.
The museum operates on Fridays from 12-5 and weekends from 10-5, with entry fees ranging from free for children under six to $20 for family groups.
The exterior fence features decorations inspired by Easter Island's rongorongo script, while inside displays include a plate from England's last sheep theft execution.
