Cargill's Monument, Memorial monument in central Dunedin, New Zealand.

The sandstone monument reaches 7.5 meters in height and features Gothic Revival elements with carved lacework at John Wickliffe Plaza intersection.

Constructed between 1863 and 1864, this monument honors Captain William Cargill, who served as the first superintendent of Otago province from 1853 to 1857.

The monument's architectural design draws inspiration from Edinburgh's Scott Monument and incorporates elements similar to England's Eleanor crosses.

The monument stands at the intersection of Princes Street and Rattray Street, marking a central point in Dunedin's urban landscape.

The structure formerly contained drinking fountains and marks the location of New Zealand's first Salvation Army meeting in April 1883.
