Ferndale House, Heritage site in Mount Albert, Auckland, New Zealand.

Ferndale House is a 19th-century house on New North Road in Mount Albert, listed as a Category II structure by Heritage New Zealand. It began as a small cottage called Fern Villa, was greatly enlarged in 1870, and renamed Ferndale by 1881. The grounds also hold Ferndale Kindergarten.

The Garlick family built this house in the 1860s and enlarged it in 1870, transforming the original cottage named Fern Villa into a larger residence. By the 1890s it had become the meeting place for the Mount Albert Lawn Tennis Club.

The Garlicks hosted Methodist social events at Ferndale, and in November 1894 the Mt Albert Lawn Tennis Club formed there, followed by a bowling club in 1897. The Ferndale Women's Club held gatherings during the Depression and World War II. The house opened as a council community venue on 17 September 1947.

The building is located in a residential area that is easily accessible from central Auckland. The separate entrances and independent kitchens make it straightforward to use one or both spaces depending on your needs.

The Mount Albert Lawn Tennis Club was formed at Ferndale in November 1894, and a bowling club followed in 1897, both using the Garlick family's grounds. During the Great Depression and World War II the Ferndale Women's Club held its social events in the house.
