Magic Kingdom, Former amusement park in Lansvale, New South Wales, Australia.
Magic Kingdom was an amusement park in Lansvale spread across 36 acres with more than 15 rides, including water slides, a giant dry slide, and a lake for mini-boats. The park offered a mix of water-based and land-based attractions for families and children.
The park operated from 1970 until the early 1990s, closing shortly after Wonderland Sydney opened nearby. The decline was swift as visitors shifted to the newer and larger competitor.
Television commercials promoted the park using the song Magic by the band Pilot, marking a connection between entertainment and media.
Reaching the park meant traveling through industrial and residential neighborhoods, making navigation somewhat challenging for visitors. Flooding from nearby Prospect Creek posed a concern for planners, particularly during wetter seasons.
Several rides came from Luna Park, which closed in 1979 following a fire in its Ghost Train attraction. These salvaged rides gave the park a curious link to Sydney's earlier amusement history.
