The Priory, Gladesville

The Priory is a heritage site in Gladesville featuring multiple buildings with Gothic-style details, including a wooden chapel. The property encompasses extensive grounds planted with fruit trees and grape vines that remain visible today.

Thomas Stubbs established the property as a farm in 1847, and the Marist Fathers later took it over to use as a base for their missionary work in the Pacific. Decades after, the site was converted into a mental health facility that operated for an extended period.
