The residence sits on 6,216 square meters of land, featuring sandstone construction and gardens designed by Michael Guilfoyle within Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Built in 1841 as Percyville cottage, the property was transformed into Greenoaks by Thomas Sutcliffe Mort in 1845 before becoming the Anglican Archbishop's residence in 1911.

The mansion represents New South Wales' Gothic Revival architecture with modifications by Edmund Blacket in 1859 and Professor Leslie Wilkinson in 1935.

The property stands 5 kilometers from Sydney's Central Business District and 14 kilometers from Sydney Airport, near prestigious schools and retail areas.

The estate maintains both National Estate registration and NSW Heritage Act protection, ensuring preservation of its architectural and historical elements.
