Wild Life Sydney, Zoo in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia

Wild Life Sydney is a zoo in Darling Harbour containing native Australian animals across ten separate zones spread over 7,000 square meters. Each zone represents different natural habitats where visitors can observe the animals in settings that reflect where they live in the wild.

Construction began in November 2004 and was completed in August 2006, when the park opened as Sydney Wildlife World. Sydney Aquarium announced the expansion in May 2006 and later became Sydney Attractions Group; Village Roadshow bought the group in late 2007, and Merlin Entertainments acquired it in March 2011. The park was renamed Wild Life Sydney and reopened on 13 September 2011.

The zoo's name changed from Sydney Wildlife World to Wild Life Sydney at its reopening on 13 September 2011. The upper-level roof beams were shaped to resemble the ribs of the rainbow serpent of Aboriginal myth when seen from above. The Koala Photo experience lets visitors pose with a koala.

The entrance sits in the Darling Harbour leisure precinct, beside Sea Life Sydney Aquarium and Madame Tussauds Sydney. The public areas are almost entirely enclosed and air-conditioned, so visits are not affected by weather. A 1 km walkway runs through the 7,000 m² site, with the open-air upper exhibits under a stainless steel mesh roof.

The Kangaroo Walkabout, the largest exhibit at 800 square metres, holds 250 tonnes of red sand trucked from central Australia, along with full-sized bottle trees. Kangaroo Island kangaroos, echidnas, a quokka and koalas share this semi-arid habitat.
