Crowdy Head Light, Coastal lighthouse in Crowdy Head, Australia
The white cylindrical tower reaches 7.3 meters in height with a balcony, lantern room, and bluestone corbels supporting the circular structure.
Colonial architect James Barnet designed this lighthouse in 1878 as one of five similar structures built along the New South Wales coast.
The nearby Three Brothers mountains hold deep connections to the Birpai Nation, who recognized these landmarks thousands of years before Captain Cook's arrival.
The lighthouse grounds remain open for public viewing throughout the day, while the tower interior maintains restricted access for safety reasons.
The original Fresnel lens from Crowdy Head Light now resides at Sea Girt Light in New Jersey after being sold through an eBay auction.
