Morgan Park Raceway, motorsports complex in Queensland, Australia
Morgan Park Raceway is a motorsport racing track in Queensland, Australia, used for various racing events throughout the year. The facility features multiple circuit layouts, including the main Circuit K at nearly 3 kilometers long with twelve turns, as well as smaller circuits such as Circuit B, D, and E that offer different driving challenges.
The first circuit at Morgan Park was built in 1968 as a small 0.73 kilometer track, with the first race held in 1969. Over the decades, the venue was expanded and upgraded, with asphalt surfacing added in 1997 and the track growing beyond 2 kilometers before reaching its current size by 2002.
The raceway draws local racing enthusiasts and community members who gather here to share their passion for motorsport. It serves as a meeting point where drivers at all levels and spectators come together to experience the thrill of competition in a welcoming setting.
The location is easily accessible from nearby towns and offers ample parking for race event visitors. The venue provides viewing areas and basic facilities, allowing visitors to spend a full day watching races, often with the option to bring a picnic.
The Warwick District Sporting Car Club operates the venue and organizes a variety of events during the warmer months from May through September. The track has a special connection to Bill Campbell, grandfather of Porsche driver Matt Campbell, who helped develop and manage the facility.
