Windsor Town Quarry Park and Tramways Substation No. 6

Located at 356 Lutwyche Road, the park features an exposed cliff face of Brisbane tuff stone and a two-story red brick substation building.

The quarry supplied construction materials from the 1860s until the 1920s, while the electrical substation operated between 1927 and 1948 to power Brisbane's tram network.

The substation, designed by architect Roy Rusden Ogg, represents classical interwar architecture with its symmetric structure and decorative brick elements.

The site combines preserved industrial heritage with public recreational space, offering visitors access to geological formations and historical architecture.

A geological fault line within the quarry wall displays a rare intersection where Brisbane tuff meets phyllite rock formations.
