Holy Triad Temple, Albion, Heritage temple in Albion, Australia.

The Holy Triad Temple in Albion is a rectangular brick building with triple-tiered roofs adorned with Chinese terracotta tiles and ceramic mythological figures. The structure combines western building techniques with eastern design elements into a distinctive appearance.

Built between 1885 and 1886, it served as a central meeting point for five Cantonese clans who supplied fresh produce to Brisbane. These groups constructed it as a sign of their presence and commitment to the city.

The interior displays carved altars, deity statues, and traditional silks with embroideries and lanterns that reflect Chinese religious practice. These objects show how the community expressed their faith and used the space as a place of worship.

Located on Higgs Street, the building is accessible to visitors during regular hours, often with guided tours available for those interested. It is wise to check current visiting times beforehand, as availability may vary.

The building is one of only three surviving nineteenth-century Chinese temples in Queensland. The others are located in Rockhampton and Atherton, making these three sites rare witnesses to that era.
