The three-story rectangular brick structure at 53 Vernon Terrace features regular window patterns across its facade and extends along the Brisbane River.
Built in 1926 by Stuart Brothers for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, the warehouse operated during Queensland's wool industry expansion period.
The building represents industrial architecture from the interwar period and maintains original interior features, including wide unpartitioned spaces and period fittings.
The former wool storage facility underwent renovation in 1995, transforming the industrial space into residential apartments while preserving heritage elements.
This structure stands as the final remaining woolstore directly positioned on the Brisbane riverbank, among sixteen similar facilities built in the early 1900s.
