Bulimba Memorial Park, Heritage memorial park in Bulimba, Australia.

Bulimba Memorial Park is a 4.6-hectare (11-acre) memorial park with open playing fields shaded by mature fig trees. The space features timber posts along its boundaries, a two-story grandstand, public restrooms, and several community buildings used by sports clubs and senior groups.

The Balmoral Shire Council created this site in 1904 on Robert Jamieson's property and opened it officially in 1919 as a memorial to First World War service members. The commemorative trees and plaques were added over the following years to permanently record the names of those who served.

Memorial trees display brass plaques with names of local soldiers, sailors, and nurses who served. These were planted between 1919 and 1923 and create a quiet tribute visible to anyone walking through the park.

The park is laid out with distinct areas for sports and events, with plenty of shade from trees throughout. It works best to visit during daylight hours so you can read the memorial plaques and explore the different buildings and spaces comfortably.

A wrought iron entrance gate and a memorial pillar shaped like a concrete lectern with brass plaques greet visitors at the main entrance. These structures stand out as unusual architectural features that capture the park's commemorative purpose in a distinctive way.
