The Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church features a 27-meter tower with an illuminated Latin cross and displays Spanish Mission architectural elements throughout its design.
The foundation stone was laid in 1919 by Bishop Bartolomeo Cattaneo, and the church was consecrated in 1925 by Archbishop James Duhig at a cost of £9435.
Since 1955, the church has been a central location for Brisbane's Polish community, featuring regular services in both English and Polish languages.
Located at 29 Cintra Road in Bowen Hills, the church contains a marble altar, decorative stained glass windows, and stands as a registered heritage site.
The building includes a memorial plaque dedicated to Polish prisoners of war and displays the Australian Imperial Force rising sun symbol in its windows.
