Na Couéta

Na Couéta is a small elevated point in the southwestern region of New Caledonia rising 42 meters above sea level. From this vantage point, visitors can see across the surrounding ocean and observe the lay of the land.

The summit has served as a navigation landmark since the 1800s when European explorers mapped the island's features. Its role in orienting sailors and early travelers shaped how the region was understood and traveled through.
