Blueberry Hill rises to an elevation of 351 feet above Valdez Bay, featuring dense Sitka spruce forests along its western slopes.

The network of hills surrounding Valdez Bay includes Hippie Hill, which received its name from seasonal workers camping there throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Local residents maintain a tradition of collecting wild berries during summer months, making this location central to seasonal harvesting activities.

The moderate hiking trail gains approximately 1,000 feet in elevation and requires proper footwear, water supplies, and wildlife safety knowledge for a safe experience.

This location contains the northernmost grove of Sitka Spruce trees within the Pacific temperate rain forest system, covering one square kilometer.
