Fort MacArthur, Military fort in Los Angeles, California
Fort MacArthur is a former United States Army installation in San Pedro, Los Angeles.
The fort was established in 1888 and played a critical role during World War II.
It's now home to the Fort MacArthur Museum which preserves and promotes the history of U.S. coastal defense.
Visitors can explore the museum, the historic Battery Osgood-Farley, and enjoy panoramic views of the harbor.
It's named after Lieutenant General Arthur MacArthur, father of General Douglas MacArthur.
