Solana Beach

Solana Beach is a coastal city in San Diego County that stretches across 3.52 square miles along the Pacific coast. The landscape features sandstone cliffs and public beaches throughout the area.

The area was originally home to the Kumeyaay people, who established Kulaumai village near San Elijo Lagoon. European settlers arrived in the region in 1886.

The Cedros Design District fills the city with art galleries, boutiques, and the Belly Up music venue, where live performances happen regularly. This neighborhood draws artists and music fans, shaping daily cultural life in the community.

The weekly farmers market runs every Sunday from noon to 4 PM on South Cedros Avenue, offering local produce and artisanal goods. The market is easy to reach on foot and worth planning into your visit.

Fletcher Cove was established in 1925 and opened to the public with a horse race event. This cove remains the main beach access point for the community today.
