Legoland California

Legoland California is an amusement park in Carlsbad, United States, that covers roughly 128 acres (51.8 hectares) and focuses on families with children. More than 60 rides, shows, and play areas are organized into themed sections that range from adventure zones to interactive building stations.

The park opened on March 20, 1999, as the first Legoland park in the United States. The site had been part of a flower-growing operation before it was transformed into a family leisure destination.

The name comes from the Danish toys that have been turned into rides and models throughout the park. Families from Southern California often visit on weekends to introduce younger children to attractions designed for their age group.

Several restaurants and cafes are spread throughout the grounds and offer different food options. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or in advance online, and special areas are available for guests with limited mobility.

Miniland USA features replicas of American landmarks built from millions of Lego bricks that show cityscapes and buildings in miniature form. The attached water park offers slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river for California's warm months.
