Emperor is a blue steel Dive Coaster by Bolliger & Mabillard at SeaWorld San Diego, with a 153-foot lift hill, a 143-foot drop at 90 degrees, and a 123-foot Immelmann. Its track runs 2,411 feet and reaches 60 mph, and each three-row train carries 18 riders. A blue sign reading "Mako" stands near the entrance, a remnant of the ride's original name.

SeaWorld San Diego announced the coaster on January 5, 2019, initially naming it Mako and planning a shark theme. Through the IAAPA it was renamed Emperor and rethemed to emperor penguins. Opening was pushed back by the COVID-19 pandemic, and SeaWorld set March 12, 2022 as the date.
