HangTime, Steel roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm, California, US
HangTime is a steel roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm in California, featuring a vertical lift that climbs 150 feet (46 meters) and a drop angled at 96 degrees. The track runs 2,198 feet (670 meters) and threads through five inversions.
The ride opened on May 18, 2018, introducing the first dive coaster to the West Coast of the United States. It replaced an older attraction and expanded the park's offerings.
The structure draws on beach and ocean motifs from California's coastal culture. Surfboards, wave patterns, and maritime colors appear throughout the queue and surrounding plaza.
The ride operates with three trains carrying 16 passengers each and moves up to 800 people per hour. First-time riders should expect shorter wait times in the morning.
At the highest point, the train pauses for five seconds before releasing into the descent. Speeds reach 57 miles per hour (92 kilometers per hour) during the drop.
