Mount Baden-Powell, Mountain summit in San Gabriel Mountains, Los Angeles County, United States.

Mount Baden-Powell rises to 9,399 feet in elevation, featuring pine forests, alpine meadows, and extensive hiking trails through the Angeles National Forest.

The mountain, formerly known as East Twin, received its current name in 1931 to honor Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the World Scouting Movement.

Southern California Boy Scout councils placed a commemorative marker and plaque at the summit in 1957, establishing a permanent connection with scouting traditions.

The main trail starts at Vincent Gap, covering 8 miles round trip with 2,800 feet elevation gain through 37 switchbacks to reach the summit.

Near the summit stands the Wally Waldron tree, a 1,500-year-old limber pine that ranks as the oldest living organism in the San Gabriel Mountains.
