Golfland Sunsplash, Family entertainment center and water park in Mesa, United States

Golfland Sunsplash is a family entertainment center in Mesa featuring three miniature golf courses, laser tag areas, bumper boats, and go-kart racing on expansive grounds. Water slides, pools, and arcade games round out the range of attractions spread across the property.

Golfland Entertainment Centers was founded in 1953; the Mesa park opened in 1983 and its Sunsplash water park followed in 1986. The chain also ran Big Surf in Tempe, site of the first wave pool in the United States, and Sunnyvale's Golfland USA hosted Battle by the Bay in 1996, the first nationwide fighting game tournament.

In Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), the film's Waterloo water park in San Dimas combines establishing shots of San Dimas Raging Waters with scenes shot at Golfland Sunsplash, where Bill, Ted and Napoleon appear. The castle-style facade with its "Golfland" sign and the two statues at the entrance are among the structures visible in the film.

Golfland Sunsplash sits at 155 West Hampton Avenue in Mesa. The Golfland side, with its miniature golf courses, go-karts, bumper boats and bumper cars, runs all year, while the Sunsplash water park charges separate admission and operates only in summer. The castle-style entrance with the "Golfland" ribbon sign and two statues marks the way in.

The Roseville Sunsplash installed Stealth, a five-story half-pipe slide, while its sister park in Mesa has the equivalent Sidewinder. Roseville's Vortex was the first bowl-shaped waterslide in the world, dropping riders four stories into a rotating bowl. The Mesa park's Cauldron is the same bowl design.
