Flickinger Center for Performing Arts

Flickinger Center for Performing Arts is a theater and performing arts venue in Alamogordo seating approximately 590 people for various shows and productions. The facility features modern sound and lighting systems, comfortable seating throughout, and accessible facilities for all guests.

The building originally operated as the Sierra Theater before being purchased and donated by Margaret Flickinger in 1988 as a gift to the community. The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra gave its first performance there in December of that year, launching professional artistic programs.

The center functions as a gathering place where residents regularly attend theater productions, concerts, and dance performances throughout the year. It plays a central role in bringing the community together for live artistic experiences.
