Fuente de la Diana cazadora

The Diana Cazadora fountain features a bronze figure of the Roman goddess Diana pointing her arrow toward the northern sky, mounted on a 10-meter-high wave-shaped steel base.

The fountain's concept originated in 1942 during President Miguel Aleman's urban development program to install decorative fountains at important intersections throughout Mexican cities.

The fountain depicts Diana as a Mexican interpretation of the Roman goddess of hunting, aiming at stars instead of traditional forest creatures.

The monument stands at a central location where Costera Miguel Alemán meets the Traditional Zone, Golden Zone, and Maritime Federal Zone of Acapulco.

In 2017, the original 1.90-meter Diana sculpture was replaced with a 5-meter version to better proportion with the wave-shaped base installed in 2015.
