Parque de Los Deseos

Parque de Los Deseos is a public park near Universidad de Antioquia with an outdoor cinema screen, interactive science exhibits, and green spaces for recreation. Eight educational installations throughout the space demonstrate scientific concepts, including a heliograph and a replica of a Muisca observatory for observing the sky.

The park was built in 2003 by Empresas Públicas de Medellín and the city government to create a space connecting science and technology with daily life. It emerged from efforts to revitalize the city through education and public access to learning.

The Casa de la Música within the park provides free practice spaces for local musicians and dancers to develop their abilities. Artists gather here regularly to rehearse and test new performances.

The park connects directly to Universidad Metro Station and sits near major attractions like Parque Explora and Jardín Botánico, making it easy to visit multiple sites. Good weather helps you enjoy the outdoor installations and open spaces to their fullest.

The replica of a Muisca observatory allows visitors to experience how this ancient people understood the stars and sky. This feature blends indigenous knowledge with hands-on learning in a contemporary setting.
