Tepotzotlán Aqueduct, Colonial aqueduct in Tepotzotlan, Mexico

The Tepotzotlan Aqueduct extends 425 meters across the landscape with 43 arches rising to a height of 61 meters in four sections.

Construction of the aqueduct started in 1706 under Jesuit supervision to transport water from Xalpa mountains, and was completed in 1854 by Count Manuel Romero.

The aqueduct formed part of the water management system that supported the Jesuit monastery of San Francisco Javier in colonial Mexico.

Visitors can access the aqueduct daily from 10:00 to 19:00, with entry fees of 35 pesos for adults and 20 pesos for children under 12.

The structure stands as Latin America's tallest aqueduct and now features adventure activities including zip lines crossing 40 meters above the river.
