The Agricultural Pavilion is a Mission Revival building at Texas Tech University featuring arched entryways, stucco walls, and red clay tile roofing. The structure was designed to house livestock exhibitions and agricultural demonstrations in a covered space.
The pavilion was completed in 1925 by architect Wyatt C. Hedrick and was among the first four structures built specifically for agricultural education at Texas Tech. It briefly served as a basketball court for the campus before that use ended in 1927.
This pavilion has served agricultural education at Texas Tech University since its founding, rooted in the importance of farming to the region. Visitors can sense how central livestock and crop work remain to the campus identity.
