Lubbock Lake Landmark

Lubbock Lake Landmark is a 336-acre archaeological site in Texas with multiple excavation areas along a draw where water flows seasonally. Researchers here uncover artifacts and study the remains of past settlements to understand how people lived in this region.

Archaeological investigation began in 1936 when a city water project unexpectedly revealed tools and hunting sites from ancient peoples. This discovery demonstrated that human occupation in this area stretched back across many millennia.
