The church features a basilican layout with a central entrance tower, topped by a belfry and spire, displaying pointed arches throughout its frame construction.
Constructed in 1910 for Hungarian settlers who arrived to work at the Charles Brackenridge Lumber Company, the church received its official consecration in 1912.
St. Margaret Catholic Church served as the mother church of Livingston Parish, supporting multiple mission churches and providing religious services to the Hungarian community.
The church property expanded in 2015 with an additional 5.05 acres of land to accommodate future development needs for the parish.
During the devastating floods of 2016, the church transformed into a distribution center, providing furniture and essential supplies worth 350,000 dollars to affected residents.
