Ashley County

Ashley County is an administrative area in southeast Arkansas that spans several small communities and is shaped by fertile farmland and pine forests. The region sits in flat plains with rich soils that have long supported agricultural use.

The area was founded in 1848 and named after Chester Ashley, an influential senator of the territorial period. Since its establishment, it has remained a center of farming and forestry in the region.
