Hawthorn House was a 1.5-story wood-frame residence with a brick foundation located on Stanton Road in Mobile. The structure followed the Gulf Coast Cottage architectural style typical of mid-19th century homes in the region.
Joshua K. Hawthorn built this house in 1853 during an important period of architectural development along the Gulf Coast. The building stood until its demolition in October 2021.
