American National Bank Building

The American National Bank Building at 226 South Palafox Street displays Chicago School architecture with ten floors constructed from stone and brick. Classical design elements cover the entire facade and create a solid, substantial structure.

The building was completed in 1910 as Florida's tallest structure, a title it held until 1974. It marked a turning point in the city's development and symbolized Pensacola's rise as a trading center.
