Statue of Charles Linn, Bronze statue in Linn Park, Birmingham, United States.
The eight-foot bronze sculpture depicted Charles Linn standing with his hand resting on a pillar that represented the National Bank of Birmingham.
Created in 2013 to honor Birmingham business pioneer Charles Linn, the statue stood until protesters removed it during the 2020 George Floyd demonstrations.
The statue represented early Birmingham development through the figure of Charles Linn, who established the first bank in the newly founded city.
The monument weighed 800 pounds and included information plaques about Charles Linn plus a list of primary financial contributors to its construction.
Sculptor Branko Medenica incorporated a personal tribute to his sister-in-law within the statue design as part of a Multiple Sclerosis Society campaign.
