Parque Urbano Central

Parque Urbano Central spans 20 hectares of green space, featuring 2,300 trees from 113 different species and a network of walking paths throughout the grounds.

The park grounds belonged to the National Railway Company, which operated a passenger station for travelers heading to Brazil and Argentina.

The amphitheater with 2,000 seats hosts community events while local vendors offer traditional drinks like somó, chicha, and copoazú at the entrance.

The park contains multiple sports facilities, including basketball courts, soccer fields, outdoor gyms, and a one-mile running track for physical activities.

Two large brick towers designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta form the Cumbre de las Américas monument, standing prominently on the western side since 1996.
