Adventure Park, Water theme park in Wallington, Victoria, Australia
Adventure Park is a water and leisure park in Wallington, on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, with water slides, a heated wave pool, and dry attractions such as mini golf, archery, and electric cars. The grounds cover a large area, with the water section and the dry activities laid out in separate zones.
The park opened in October 1994 as the first water theme park in Victoria, drawing visitors from across the state from the start. Over the years, new slides and attractions were added to expand what was on offer for different age groups.
The park draws families from Melbourne and the surrounding coastal towns during the warmer months, making it a gathering spot for day trips. Children and adults tend to mix freely across the water attractions and dry activities.
The park is on the Bellarine Peninsula and is most easily reached by car from Melbourne or Geelong. Visitors can bring their own food for the picnic areas or buy meals on site, and sun protection is worth packing given the amount of time spent outdoors.
The Wild West Canyon slide runs through a dark tunnel with two full 360-degree rotations, which catches most riders off guard even if they know it is coming. This kind of enclosed looping design is rarely found at water parks in Australia.
