Wilsons Promontory National Park

The park spans 50,000 hectares of coastal wilderness, featuring granite mountains, secluded beaches, eucalyptus forests, and a network of hiking trails.

Indigenous Australian communities maintained connections to this land for thousands of years before its designation as a national park in 1998.

Parks Victoria manages the reserve in collaboration with Traditional Owners, integrating Aboriginal knowledge into conservation and educational programs.

Visitors can access camping facilities at Tidal River, which offers both powered and unpowered sites, along with amenities including showers and a general store.

Squeaky Beach contains pure quartz sand that produces distinct sounds when walked upon, while marine waters protect Australia's largest fur seal colony.
