Drake Stadium features a nine-lane 400-meter track with facilities for javelin, triple jump, long jump, and high jump competitions.
Architect Daniel L. Dworsky designed the 11,700-capacity stadium, which opened in 1973 as the home for UCLA Bruins track and field teams.
The stadium carries the name of Elvin C. Drake, who dedicated over 60 years to UCLA as a student-athlete, track coach, and athletic trainer.
The facility operates Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with different weekend schedules.
Ryan Crouser set a world shot put record of 23.56 meters at Drake Stadium during the 2023 Los Angeles Grand Prix competition.
