Hermann Park Golf Course is an 18-hole course in Houston with tree-lined fairways, rolling greens, and water hazards spread across 6015 yards of Bermuda grass. The clubhouse at North MacGregor features a Pro Shop for golf equipment and a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch to players.
The course was established in 1922 as one of Houston's earliest municipal golf facilities. It holds historical importance as the first integrated golf course in the United States.
The course serves as a gathering place where golfers from Houston meet and play together regularly. Many participate in local tournaments or simply enjoy time with friends on the grounds.
Visit early in the morning or late afternoon when the course is less crowded and lighting is better for play. Navigate more easily by familiarizing yourself with the hole layout or picking up a course map at the entrance.
The driving range was added in 2013 and is the only illuminated practice facility within Houston's 610 Loop. It operates year-round, allowing golfers to practice even after dark.
