Mounts Botanical Garden

Mounts Botanical Garden is a 20-acre property in West Palm Beach with 25 themed garden sections displaying around 7000 tropical and subtropical plant species from six continents. The collection includes rare exotic species alongside native Florida plants, spread across multiple specialized garden areas.

The garden began in 1954 when Marvin Mounts started a tropical fruit tree collection that gradually expanded into a comprehensive botanical garden. Official recognition as a Botanical Garden came in 1986, marking the completion of this transformation.

The Windows on the Floating World section displays wetland ecosystems along elevated boardwalks where visitors observe native aquatic plants and animals in their natural setting. The design allows people to see these habitats up close while keeping the delicate environment protected.

The garden offers free parking and tickets can be purchased online for convenient entry. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as pathways wind through different garden sections.

The Garden of Tranquility blends natural stone, wood, and plants in an Asian design that invites visitors to linger under subtropical vegetation. This secluded area offers a quiet spot for reflection within the larger botanical complex.
