Oakland Park

Oakland Park is a city in Broward County situated between Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach, spreading across several miles. The Florida East Coast Railway line divides different residential areas, while parks and green spaces shape the local character.

The city was officially founded in 1929 after changing its name from Floranada and recovering from economic hardship. This renaming marked a fresh start for the growing settlement after difficult early years.

A Funky Buddha Brewery opened here in 2013 and produces regional beers in a large production facility. The operation has become part of the local economy and draws visitors interested in craft brewing.
