Fort Lauderdale Stadium was a baseball facility that held up to 8,340 spectators and featured a traditional diamond layout. The field extended 100 meters (332 feet) down the left line, 122 meters (401 feet) to center field, and 97 meters (320 feet) down the right line.
The facility opened in 1962 as a spring training base for the New York Yankees and served the team until their move to Tampa in 1995. Afterward, the Baltimore Orioles used the grounds from 1996 until the structure was demolished in 2019.
The Baltimore Orioles conducted their spring training sessions at Fort Lauderdale Stadium from 1996 through 2009, maintaining baseball traditions in South Florida.
The stadium was located next to Lockhart Stadium in an area known for baseball training activities. After its demolition in 2019, the land was cleared for new sports facilities development.
The Fort Lauderdale Yankees minor league team made this their home from 1962 to 1992, forming a core part of the local baseball identity for generations. This long association with the Yankees organization helped develop young talent and shaped how baseball was experienced by residents.
