Museum of Discovery and Science

The museum originated in 1976 as The Discovery Center before undergoing significant growth over the following decades. A major expansion added substantial new gallery space and updated facilities to better serve the growing number of visitors.

The facility houses one of the largest IMAX screens in South Florida, towering several stories overhead. There is also a simulator that recreates the thrill of riding an airboat through the Everglades.
