Florida's 24th congressional district is a United States House seat representing parts of South Florida. It covers urban communities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, including areas north of State Road 112 and southern Broward municipalities.
The district was created in 2003 with different boundaries that included parts of Brevard, Orange, Seminole, and Volusia counties in Central Florida. It was redrawn in 2012 to focus on the Miami-Dade and Broward County areas it represents today.
The district population of 772,726 residents represents a diverse mix with 39.8% Black, 37.5% Hispanic, 17.6% White, and smaller percentages of other ethnic groups.
