Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, Natural park in Fort Lauderdale, United States.

The park spans between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, containing coastal dunes, hardwood swamps, and mangrove forests across its grounds.

Chicago attorney Hugh Taylor Birch purchased the beachfront property for one dollar per acre in 1893, constructing his Art Deco residence Terramar in 1940.

The Terramar Visitor Center exhibits the natural history of Fort Lauderdale and provides educational programs about local wildlife and environmental conservation.

Visitors can access walking trails, bike paths, fishing spots, canoe rentals, and beach access points throughout the park from 8 AM until sunset.

Over 200 species of birds inhabit the park grounds, including wading birds and hawks, while gray foxes returned to the area in 2015.
