The Church of the Holy Spirit at 1099 Hesperides Road exhibits Mission Revival architecture with adobe-like walls and prominent arched entryways.
Built in 1927 by architects P.C. Samuell and R.W. Burrows, the church received National Register of Historic Places designation in August 1990.
The building transformed from a Catholic church to the Lake Wales Cultural Center in 1989, following its sale by the local diocese.
The Lake Wales Cultural Center maintains regular opening hours and accepts reservations for community events, performances, and gatherings throughout the year.
The structure maintains its original Mission Revival elements while functioning as a municipal cultural venue at coordinates 27°53′38″N and 81°33′54″W.
