Legoland Florida, Theme park in Winter Haven, United States
Legoland Florida is a theme park in Winter Haven that focuses on families with children aged 2 through 12 and offers rides, shows, and hands-on areas built with millions of Lego bricks. The grounds spread across several themed zones, including Lego City, Lego Ninjago World, and Duplo Valley for the youngest guests.
The park opened in October 2011 and is the first Legoland facility in the southeastern United States. The site reuses parts of the former Cypress Gardens, a botanical theme park founded in 1936 and known for its tropical gardens.
The American landmarks in Miniland USA use more than 30 million Lego bricks and display scenes of daily life with tiny figures and moving elements. Children press buttons along the paths to make trains run, boats move, or buildings light up.
The park targets families with younger children, so height restrictions on many rides are lower than at other theme parks. It helps to arrive early, as lines are usually shorter in the morning and the Florida midday heat has not yet set in fully.
At the driving school, children aged 3 to 5 steer electric cars on their own course, while older children follow a separate track with traffic lights and road rules and receive a license at the end. The water park next door opens seasonally and requires no extra admission for park visitors.
