Miracle Strip Amusement Park, Beachfront amusement park in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Miracle Strip was a beachfront amusement park in Panama City Beach featuring multiple rides spread across the grounds. The facility included roller coasters like the Starliner, dark rides such as Dante's Inferno and The Dungeon, and a haunted castle attraction.
The park opened in 1963 and introduced Florida's first roller coaster, drawing visitors from across the state. It expanded gradually over the following decades as Panama City Beach became a major tourist destination.
The park served as a gathering place for families across Florida who returned year after year, making it part of their vacation routines. It became woven into the childhood memories of countless visitors who spent summers here with loved ones.
The park closed in 2004 and the site has since been completely demolished. Today only concrete foundations and cleared land remain where the rides once stood.
The Starliner roller coaster was the site of a world record in 1980 when someone rode it continuously for 336 hours without stopping. This feat brought national attention to the ride and became part of the park's folklore.
